Invité par Marine Vassort écrivain et les Editions P'tits Papiers (Marseille) en Novembre 2007 pour réaliser des illustrations, j'ai passé 10 jours dans la ville de Tanger au coeur de la Kasbah. 8 pages de journaux de bord sur format A3 sont nés de ce court séjour ainsi qu'une dizaine de dessins au trait sur format A4, quelques aquarelles et une réalisation au pastel gras. En rentrant j'ai décidé de prolonger ce travail par des peintures exécutées à partir des dessins au trait. Le livre devrait sortir à l'hiver 2009 et si tout est fini, nous organiserons une exposition avec l'ensemble du travail réalisé et une lecture de Marine. In November 2007, I went to Tangier invited by a writer Marine Vassort and a publisher P'tits Papiers. I was supposed to produce illustrations for a book that will be published this coming winter. The house we were staying in was in the middle of the Kasbah. I created 8 diary pages made with watercolor and pencil (A3), 10 drawings with pencil (A4), three watercolors (20cmx20cm), an oil pastel night scene and took many photos black and white and color ones. When I got back to France I decided that I would paint from the pencil drawings. A book should be published this winter 2009 and I'll probably organize an exhibition with Marine who will then read excerpts of her writing....
